Plot:

A family who live in St. Louis are devestated to find out that they are going to move from St. Louis.

Esther Smith (Judy Garland) is in love with the boy next door John Truett,(Tom Drake)and she does'nt want to move not now!

None of the Family wants to move! Then on Christmas Eve they find out that they don't have to move!

Esther and John become engaged, and it ends with the family at the worlds fair watching the electric lights come on, while they are getting an eletrical jolt themselves watching such a wonderful thing unfold right before their eyes!
